Want to add custom shape fields and auto sum that field in a container as objects are added to container

I want create a diagram that will show me how much memory a blade chassis has by just dragging a blade object that has a custom field containing the memory amount into a container.

For example:  I create a container called "Blade Chassis".  I create a rectangle called Blade Server,  add a custom field called Memory and assign it 256.   I create 5 duplicates of the is rectangle,  so now I have 6 blade server objects each with 256 (GB) memory.   I want to drag and drop them into the Blade Chassis Container and have a field that displays the total amount of blade memory memory based on the Blade Server rectangles in the container.

How would I go about doing this?  Ultimately,  I would like to expand this to make the fields dynamic in that I would change all Blade Server memory fields to a specific number and watch it update the container field or associate cost to the blades and watch it update the Chassis container.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Matt,

Chris Hopkins wrote an interesting article on his blog on how to do this with container.

By the way technically your engineered chasis shape is not a container.
