Hi,

In regarding of the issue, I would need more information on the issue:

  • Are you able to open PowerPoint application with a black/new PPT?
  • Do other Office applications work fine?

If this issue only with the particular file, please try the method: Right click on the file that won't open, properties and then click on ther "Unblock" field.

If you even can not start the PowerPoint application, and based on the error 0xc0000005 that is generated when a application tires to access a memory location that it should not access. Cause of this vary. In my view, the installation might be corrupted.

I recommend you change a installation source to test, because >> i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Office 2010 as suggested by another user but this did not fix the problem<<

Installation source backup

Hope it's helpful.

Also you can use PowerPoint Repair Toolbox software, if you are still looking for intelligent program, recovering PPT files of any size and version. This tool provides many advantages, it is always better than external data recovery services because corrupt PowerPoint repair software takes care about the privacy of all opened PPT documents.
