WARNING: The object has been corrupted

I have 3 mailboxes that are coming up with this error when run the Get-MailboxStatistics on our Exchange 2013 CU2 server.

WARNING: The object d3810a98-ec78-4a18-b2df-9b6e104405b2 has been corrupted, and it's in an inconsistent state. The
following validation errors happened:

I confirmed the object "d3810a98-ec78-4a18-b2df-9b6e104405b2" is an active mailbox.

How do I get it out of an inconsistent state?

Hello,

Please use the cmdlet :get-mailbox -identity d3810a98-ec78-4a18-b2df-9b6e104405b2 | fl. If it's a disabled mailbox, please use remove-storemailbox cmdlet to permanently remove it.

If it is a normal mailbox, please try to move the mailbox to a new database to check the result.

My update...

I created a new database called "Legal" and it is mounted.

When I'm in the EAC, recipients, migration folder I already see my mailbox (one of the ones that is getting the inconsistent state error) which I've migrated from the Ex2007 server.

So, I went to EAC, recipients, selected my mailbox, selected the "Move Mailbox to another database" and selected the new database that I just created called "Legal".  In the EAC, recipients, migration, folder I see my name again "Status" is completed, Total=0, Synced=0, Finalized=0, Failed=0.  and my mailbox is still showing that it belongs to the default database.

Any ideas?

Hello,

When you move the mailbox to new database, please make sure whether the warning:" The object d3810a98-ec78-4a18-b2df-9b6e104405b2 has been corrupted, and it's in an inconsistent state" still occurs. If so, I recommend you use Get-MoveRequestStatistics cmdlet to retrieve the statistics for the mailbox.

Besides, please check if new mailbox still belongs to the default database when you move new mailbox to new database.

Cara,

The mailbox is still in an inconsistent state and yes, it still belongs to the default database.  It doesn't seem to want to move.

When I run the "Get-MoveRequestStatistics" I get an error that says "Couldn't find a move request that corresponds to the specified identity "Penny"... I check in the EAC under Recipients, Migration and highlighted my name "Penny" and selected the "View details" and it is blank.

Do I need to remove them from the Migration folder and then try to do the mailbox move again?

Hello,

I agree with your suggestion. Please remove them and then move mailbox again to check the result.

Whether you check the issue occurs when you move new mailbox to the new database.

Cara,

That took care of the move it also took care of the "inconsistent state" error I was getting.  Thank you!

Is it possible to move that mailbox back to the original database it was on?
