Visio 2013 compatibility with Office 2010

Hi there

I own Office 2010, and I am now considering getting Visio 2013.

Does anybody know whether Visio 2013 will work with Office 2010?

Hi,

Visio does not have an office dependency. Youd better work Visio 2013 with Office 2013.

Microsoft recommends using the same version of the work.

Tips

Dont mix 32-bit versions with 64-bit versions.

I don't know about Visio 2013, but Visio 2010 did install the Access Database Engine (ACE 14.0).

So if you used the Access engine from other versions on the same PC (for instance from Access 2007) your application just crash.

I'm still looking about the 2010 - 2013 combination:
- will Visio 2010 still working after upgrading Office to 2013 ?
- is there the same problem when installing Visio 2013 on a PC with Office 2010 ?

So if someone can say something more about this I should be happy ;-)

Visio 2010 works fine for me with Office 2013. An application I have developed supports any combination of Visio/Office from 2003 to 2013, the only limitations being 2003 won't work with Windows 8 or later and 2010 only works on Windows 7 (maybe Vista) or later.

As mentioned, all have to be 32bit or 64bit versions. However, you would be best to stick with 32bit versions (as recommended even by MS itself).
