Visio 2010 Premium Problem with Text Centering

I have a page created in Visio 2010 Premium under Windows 7 with the following Page Setup:

Page Size = 100" wide x 34" high

Scale = No Scale (1:1)

Rectangular shape drawn on page = 96" wide x 30" high and shape is centered on the page

Paragraph Alignment = Centered

Text Block Alignment = Middle

Regardless of font size or paper size, the text centers as if the shape is only approximately 52" wide.  If I change the Paragraph Alignment to Right, the text moves to the right as if the shape is only approximately 52" wide.  If I use the shape handle to make the shape narrower, the text stays in the exact same place until it is smaller than approximately 52" then it moves to the center of the new size (or moves to the left to remain right-aligned depending on the alignment setting).

Does anyone know of any Visio limitations that would create this problem?  Might this be a bug?  Is there a solution or a work-around?

text operations are rarely based upon the page, but are based upon the shape. There are formulas in the shapesheet that control how the related text is handled. These can be changed from the home tab/text section by selecting the shape and altering the format.

Thank you for replying.  I explained in my question what I have done to alter the shape.  I only included the page information to be thorough.  Are there additional shape settings I can change to fix this problem?  I have a 96" wide shape that is "acting" like it is only approximately 52" wide.
