Visio 2010 - How to make objects same size as each other.
Hi,

I have a fairly simple question.

Lets say I have two or more objects on the screen. Is there a way I can easily click on
both objects and say make the width the same as each other or make the same height.
At the moment I can have to do this individually for each object. The issue
is this can be quite time consuming with multiple objects.

Thanks,

Simple answer, yes -

menu View -> Size and Position window

select your two (or more) shapes

type the new width (or height) in the appropriate box.

As often happens with simple questions and simple answers there are always maybes and howevers.

If the shape(s) width/height etc are based on a calculation then this may all go wrong as you will overwrite any formulae, similarly, if the size is determined by an addon. Also bear in mind that the shape may be protected of the sizes may be guarded. It also might not work for some grouped shapes.

Unfortunately, there is no Size/Position window on the View ribbon in 2010.  There's a Shape window on the Home ribbon.  But it doesn't have any attributes related to sizing, only Fill, Line and Shadow.

Yes there is, it's in the Task Panes drop down list.
