I recently installed Visio 2000 for an engineer in our company. While the general functions of the software are working fine, he cannot access the Help files on the software. The message: "Cannot find C:\Program Files\Visio\Help\Visio.hlp file" appears followed by "Do you want to locate the file yourself?" Having located the file Windows suggested a re-installation. So I opted for the Request Change option. Here I went to add the Help Files locally but found that this procedure kept failing. The error message : "Error 1911. Could not register type library for file C:\Program Files\Common Files\Wex Tech Shared\awApiObj.dll - Contact your support personnel" appeared. The reinstall/repair option displayed a "succeeded" result. However, the same error messages keep appearing on restart. Anyone have any ideas? It's not a major problem as the main functions of Visio are running perfectly.
