"With large messages, you have the possibility that a database transaction to commit the message into the database will take some time to complete. During that time, the database is tracking the commit with what is called version buckets or version store." Thanks Amit, is there any way this could be increased? It just shoots up above 2000 for few seconds,an event gets generated and comes back to normal.By the time an engineer checks on the server the problem seems to be back to normal.Very finikcy indeed

Hi,After you follow somesteps to try toresolve the problem, please close the alert in SCOM and wait to see if the alert will appear back again. If yes, then please run ExBPA to have a health scan and then check the report. Also I recommend you to check the event log and then post the detail error event here.Related information to share with you:Large Message Processing in Exchange, Part 1: Prevention and Planning http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2009/07/07/451737.aspxRegards,Xiu

Are the alerts firing overnight during online maintenance and then closing? Then its probably related. I see these all the time during maint.

Yes exactly, these are fired whenin between online maintenance periods. My disk throughputs, system memory and storage are all ok with no serious issuesin Exbpa reportI probably should disable this from SCOM, what you suggest??

Personally, I wouldnt disable it. If it fires during the day then it might be indicitive of a problem. What I like to do is add Company Knowledge to the alert stating something to the effect that "If these alerts fire during online maintenance and then close, then its ok to ignore, etc..."
