Using PFDAVAdmin on Exchange 2007 SP3 and Windows 2008 R2
I'm trying to change the permissions on lots of folders at once in one mailbox that resides on a Windows 2008R2 server with Exchange 2007 SP3 rollup1 MBX role installed. I want to use PFDAVAdmin for that, but have some problems running it. I downloaded the latest PFDAVAdmin version (2.8) and am able to connect to the mxb server and fetch all mailboxes. However when I select a mailbox, I get the following error in the 'Subfolders' window: Could not expand http://mbxserver/exadmin/DOMAIN.LOCAL/mbx/emailaddress1@contoso.com/non_ipm_subtree/: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error. Connecting to a similar Exchange server on 2003 Server works fine. Does IIS on 2008R2 need some special configuration for this to work? Already tried setting the DefaulAppPool to classic pipeline mode, but that made no difference

Use ExFolders instead http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2009/12/04/453399.aspx http://blogs.technet.com/b/bill_long/archive/2010/04/07/filtering-output-from-pfdavadmin-or-exfolders.aspxTroy Werelius www.Lucid8.com

Do you have the required permissions to open that mailbox?

Do you have the required permissions to open that mailbox? Yes, I have full access to all mailboxes.

Are you trying to run this on the Exchange Server or your workstation? Workstation is preferred. Ensure you have .net 1.1 installed on the workstation as well.

I tried both, but get the same error every time I connect to a 2008R2 mailbox server.

Hi, Based on my research, I suggest you open Server Manager and add the following services for the IIS role, and then run the tool via administrator privilege to check the result. 1. ASP 2. Server Side Includes 3. Basic authentication 4. Windows authentication 5. Dynamic Content compression 6. IIS management Scripts and Tools and Management service. Thanks. Novak, I'm getting this exact error. I've checked the items you've mentioned, and the error persists. Any other advice?
