Using PFDAVAdmin from client PC
Hello All, I too do have an issue. Below is the error which I am getting while connecting to PF Server of my organization from my client PC. "an error occurred while trying to establish a connection to the exchange server. be sure that port 443 (for SSL) or port 80 (for NON-SSL) can be reached. If you are connecting to public folders, be sure that the public store is mounted." I am using the below configuration: 1. Using PFDAVAdmin version 2.8 2. Using the tool from C drive itself 3. Trying to connect from client having XP, 64bits, .NET 1,2 & 3.6 installed. 4. Telnet to the PF server via port 80 & 443 are both normal. 5. Tried from Server also, still got error. 6. used http://exchangeservername/public also to connect from client, but returned with same error. 7. Used DC & GC both of the same tree still got error. I went through various article for the same but still not got any satisfactory answer anywhere. Can anyone assist me with it? Thanks for any suggestions.. :-)

What version of Exchange is this? If its 2010, then pfdavadmin is no good. use exfolders instead. http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2009/12/04/3408943.aspx lasse at humandata dot se, http://anewmessagehasarrived.blogspot.com

Hello, For this issue, please follow this document to check the default setting for Exchange-related virtual directories: Default settings for Exchange-related virtual directories in Exchange Server 2007 http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2008/02/01/3404755.aspx Make sure the account you used has permission to access the public folder. If the issue persists, please run Exbpa and check IIS log to get more information. Thanks, Evan

Hello Evan, Thanks for your help. Well, I have tried to connect from my PC to the Mailbox Server through PFDAVAdmin tool and it got connected. The modification I had to do was to uncheck the "Authenticate as currently logged user" and put the admin account credentials and then onwards all went fine. Still we have problem connecting it from Server itself, to which I shall investigate later on. Anyways thanks for the suggestion, and I would work upon it accordingly.

Hello, PFDAVAdmin tool started working properly when I unchecked the "Authenticate as currently logged user" and put the admin account credentials. After then too, it wasn't working from Server, for which I need to change the DC and then onwards it worked properly from Server also. Thanks to all of you for the generous support..
