Using Exchange 2003 OWA on a PC with Office 2007
I have Exchange 2003 Enterprise, clusered, on a 2003 STD 32 server environment. My users use OWA from home. If the user has Office 2007 installed on their home PC, and they use OWA to send out an email, the recieient of the email is prompted for permissions to view/forward/delete the email. If the recipient enters credentials for the domain where the Exchange server is, they can view/forward/delete the mail.If the use has Office 2003 installed at home, this doesn't happen.Crazy! I know! Any ideas???

Have users protected the messages by using windows RMS? Could the symptom be reproduced to the same user when opening the messages via OWA on the outlook 2007 machine and outlook 2003 machine? What’s the error info if the user doesn’t enter the credential?James Luo TechNet Subscriber Support (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/ms788697.aspx) If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tngfb@microsoft.com
