HiWe have just implemented an Exchange 2007 SCC cluster running on Windows 2008 server, Active/Passive.We have some test users' mailboxes on the 2007 cluster and I notice that if I fail over, their Outlook prompts them to re-authenticate again.Does anyone know why this is? I thought Outlook used some form of Integrated Windows authentication type mechanism? Hi, When we have Outlook Anywhere configured with the Basic Authentication enabled, when we failover to another Exchange Server, we will be asked to provide credentials when the connection is first established with the another Server The clients are asked to put the credentials again because of the failover. It is the expected behavior with Basic Authentication. You can following KB article to get more information.
