Hi,I have created a resource mailbox in Windows 2003 server DC.Account is disabled for this resource mailbox but SMTP address is enabled.I have a user "y" in my domain without mailbox.Please confirm 1) whether that user can access that resource mailbox via OWA and 2) he can also configure this mailbox in Outlook ?Also confirm the permissions user y should have on that resource mailbox to achieve all the mentioned tasks? Hi, Do you mean that the user Y use the password and name of disabled account to open the mailbox by OWA & Outlook client? If you give appropriate Mailbox Right to user Y, Y can open the resource mailbox in Outlook, but it’s impossible in OWA. To give rights to Y , please follow this steps below: 1. Right click the Properties of the disabled account. 2. Click the Exchange Advanced tab and select Mailbox Rights. 3. Add the user Y and give the appropriate permissions for user Y. Thanks, Richard
