User with full access to a second account can't send email
I want to allow a user to send mail from another mailbox and not "on behalf" of the other user. I already granted full access to the user over the second users mailbox but the person keeps getting permission denied errors. Any ideas? We
are running Exchange 2007.
Thanks!

Full Mailbox Access does not mean you have SEND AS permissions.
You have to gratn SEND AS perms to the account explicitly:

OK, now I have a new issue. I clearly gave full access and send as permission for a user and he still can not send as. It says he is not allowed to send on behalf of another sender. It worked for all the other users, just one. Any
idea what could be causing it?

Is the SEND AS rigth still enabled? Is security inheritance on this account disabled? I would check via ADUC.

If I right click his account and go to Manage Send As Permission, the user I want to be able to send as this account is listed there. I'm not sure how to check this in ADUC...

Enable Advance Features (View/Advacned Features) in ADUC
Check the properties of the account in ADUC. under the security tab - that SEND AS is still checked for that user and under the advanced tab, security inheritance is checked.

Send as is checked and Inherit is checked.
Thanks by the way for the advanced settings; I forgot about that...!

Come to think of it, I just noticed that the part time receptionist is somehow gaining full access to everyone somehow; she appears to be inheriting it from somewhere... Any idea how this would happen???

Never-mind, I figured out who the culprit was who gave her access...

I actually gave myself full and send as access to this mailbox and I am getting this same error!
"You are not allowed to send this message because you are trying to send on behalf of another sender without permission to do so. Please verify that you are sending on behalf
of the correct sender, or ask your system administrator to help you get the required permission."
I have a feeling there is something amiss in AD. Is there a command I can run to verify the security settings in AD or do some kind of integrity check?
Thanks!

Originally a few days. Now I setting security and immediately trying the send as which I know is typically a no-no in Exchange. What's really odd is that I am a member of the same groups as two of the other IT people here
and they can send as anyone in the organization by inheritance... I should be able to do exactly what they do and can not. It's so strange, I think we are going to put a call in to Microsoft tomorrow to work through it unless you have
any suggestions.
Thanks for all your help!
