User still cannot send 1 hour after increasing mailbox storage limits
Exchange 2007 SP2 A user ignored the warning messages when they hit the warning limit, then called me this morning when they couldn't send. I raised their limits over an hour ago but they still cannot send. Closed/Opened Outlook. Is this tied to the database maintenance schedule? Is there anyway to manually run whatever task checks for size and prevents sending?

You can restart Information Store service and check it.Gulab | MCTS-MCITP Messaging: 2010 | MCTS-MCITP Messaging: 2007 | MCC 2011 | Skype: Gulab.Mallah

Thanks, but I can't do that in the middle of the day for this 1 user.

It can take up to 2hrs due to IS store caching. Give it a little more time. With 2010 you can update the cache immediately using set-mailbox -database. You can also try moving the mailbox to another mailbox database.
