User receiving acceptance requests from Resource Room mailbox when he is not the organizer

Good Afternoon,

I have a user with an interesting problem.  He says that he is getting auto accept response from a conference room when he is a meeting attendee and not the organizer.

Little background....we have our Conference rooms setup to AutoAccept.  When the organizer sends a meeting request to the conference room mailbox they receive the following message:

Your request was received and is pending approval.

At this point, one of the admins will go in and accept the meeting.  This one user is saying that he is receiving the above message when he is just an invitee to the meeting and not the organizer.  One issue is that he tries to use three different platforms to manage his mail, although we have tried to get him to use one. Uses his IPhone, IPad with Outlook for MAC and a Windows desktop using both Outlook and OWA.

I tried to reproduce with a member of my team and was not able.
He is not a delegate of the Calendar, nor does have defined permissions on the calendar folder.
Just wondering if anyone else has seen this before.

Thank You

Hi,

Based on your description, one of the attendee received Auto reply information from a Conference room, and this only occur to one user, right? Besides the information you provided, I will need more information for further troubleshooting:

  1. What is the Outlook version of the user, Outlook 2013/2010 or other version?
  2. what type is the user mail account, Exchange? IMAP or POP3?
  3. Does this issue happen to one specified meeting, like certain organizer/certain Conference room? Or it happen to all meetings?
  4.  Also Im a bit confused by One issue is that he tries to use three different platforms to manage his mail, although we have tried to get him to use one. Uses his IPhone, IPad with Outlook for MAC and a Windows desktop using both Outlook and OWA. Do you mean this user is the only user in your team who use 3 platform to manage his mail? And this is the only difference this user between others in your team?

Please help me with above information to narrow down the issue, thank you.
