User cannot modify Public Folder Permissions from Outlook 2010

Hello,

I have strange issue with regards to Public Folders.

One user NOT able to modify permissions from Outlook 2010.

On the server side, I see she has owner permissions. (ran get-publicfolderclientpermission)

On the client side, I see she has owner permissions.

When she adds any user and clicks on "Apply" she gets an error message --> Permissions cannot be saved.

In the same machine, I tested with another user account who has owner permissions to the same public folder - No issues.

On my machine, I tested with that user account on the same Public folder - Same issue in my machine too for that user (Only that user).

I had given the same user owner permissions to another (test) folder for testing purpose and she is able to modify the permissions of that without issue on her computer.

Any idea on what could be causing this issue ?

One user NOT able to modify permissions of one particular Public Folder ?

She also told me - she was to able to work without problems till last week.

Can some one guide me on what to check or where to check ?

Try removing and re-adding the permissions.

I have already done that

Removed the permissions

Waited for 30 mins

Re-added the permissions again.

It didn't work.

After lot of testing and troubleshooting process,

I have got this issue resolved by moving the public folder to master hierarchy mailbox.

Later, I have moved this public folder back to a secondary mailbox again but not tested the functionality due to my laziness... but will do that for sure if the user reports the problem back again..

Interesting, was it just for a specific PF or was it all PFs that the user couldn't do anything with?
