User can't see any free/busy - on one PC only?

Hello,

I have one single user who cannot see the free/buy info of any other user from his normal desktop PC using Outlook 2010.

If he uses Outlook Web App on the PC, it works perfectly.

And if he uses Outlook 2010 on another PC (on a different network sub-net), it works perfectly.

What network dependencies does the free/busy info have please?

Exchange 2010 with Outlook 2010.

Thanks,

- Alan.

Hi,

the Availability Service manages the Free/Busy Information. The Service also manages for example the automatic replies. Does the automatic replies work on the desktop with the problem?

You can check the credential manager of Windows 7. Maybe there is an old entry. That can make problems with the Availability Service.

Greetings

Check addins - is the Exchange addin disabled? (Outlook likes to disable it here because it loads too slow.) File, Options, Addins to check.

The only disabled add-in is Windows Search Email Indexer.

Autoreply doesn't work either "the server is currently unavailable".

Credential manager is disabled by GPO.

The only disabled add-in is Windows Search Email Indexer.

That's normal, it's only needed for older versions of Outlook.

Does out of office fail too? This usually means a problem with the EWS service, but everyone would be affected, so its likely something on the one machine.

What firewall do you use?

Yes it gives "the server is currently unavailable".

User is in classic onine mode. They are on our internal network, no firewall. I think it's network-switch related because I installed a new PC in his office and got the same error.
