User Receiving Jumbled E-Mail from Outside Sender....
First, let me say that I am new to Exchange, so this may be a dumb question, but I need to find an answer to this issue. Here is a little background. We have a very large customer who has several locations spread throughout the U.S. The customeris running Novell GroupWise 7.0.1., and provides thatto it's locations as a central E-Mail server, however, the individual locations (as far as weknow )haveno computer support and are left to maintain their own computers as they are individually operated.
Now, from time to time, one of our users ( using Exchange Server 2003 and Outlook 2003 as the client )receives an E-Mail message from someone at this company and the E-Mail comes through completely garbled. It appears that the sender is trying to attach some sort of image file and I also see that it is being sent in base64. This issueisa hit or miss situation. Most of the time the messages come through alright. We suspect that something is occurring at the client level on our customers PC, butbecause they are an important customer, we have been asked to look into this. I have attached the actual E-Mail that came through ( with the specificnames edited out ) :
