User Database size wise archiving when it near to limit
Dear Concern,
I have deployed a new exchange server 2013 for online archiving user mailbox in existing exchange server 2013 DAG environment. But now I want to archive the mailbox based on user database near to limit.
Suppose, a user mailbox database is set for 2GB and when it is 1.5 GB all mail will be archive. Is there any way to configure such requirement ???

Hi,

We can configure archive quotas for this user. When an In-Place Archive exceeds the specified archive quota, messages are no longer moved to the archive and a warning message is sent to the mailbox user.

Use the EAC to configure the archive quota and archive warning quota for a mailbox

  1. Navigate to Recipients > Mailboxes
  2. In the list view, select a mailbox,
  3. In the details pane, under In-Place Archive, click View details.
  4. In Archive Mailbox, use the Quota value (GB) and Issue warning at (GB) lists to select the desired values.
  5. Click OK.

Use the Shell to configure the archive quota and archive warning quota for a mailbox.

Set-Mailbox -Identity "User" -ArchiveQuota 1.5GB -ArchiveWarningQuota 1.3GB

Best Regards.
