User's incoming emails are being spread to multiple users
Hello, I have a server running windows SBS 2008 and exchange 2007, recently, we have had a user's incoming email sent to multiple users in our domain, and we would like to control whom is able to see these emails. where would I go to remove someone from this list/modify the users settings? Thanks, Gowan

That doesn't happen automatically, it would have to be something that you have configured. The only way that an email could go to multiple users is if their email address is attached to a group, you have configured their account to forward to a group, you are using the POP3 connector and have it configured to send unknown recipients to a group, or the sender sent the message to multiple people, perhaps via the BCC field. Exchange simply does not send email to multiple users on its own. Simon.Simon Butler, Exchange MVP. http://blog.sembee.co.uk , http://exbpa.com/

Instead he was inside of a distribution group a colleage created. woops! Thanks again, Gowan

Are you sure this isn't spam and the set of recipients simply includes addresses that don't appear in the "To:" header? --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
