Hi

I have connected to an excel data table in performancepoint. The table has monthly data and I have a month column with Values such as April, May, June etc. On the data souce view tab I have configured the month column as a time dimension and on the itme tab I have checked this as the master, I have also checked the time period level 'Month' and have selected the fiscal start month as april. 

If I try to create a time intelligence filter and enter the formula YearToDate and then preview I get the followig error:

Data source dc_excelSource has an invalid Time Intelligence configuration. To resolve this issue, go to the time intelligence properties for this data source and verify that the configuration has been set correctly. What sould my configuration be for this source to allow me to create a time intelligence filter? Thanks, Dan

I've answered this myself - the month column needs to have a date (e.g. 01-04-13) rather than text (April) then the datasource automatically recognisses the field as a timeIntelligence Column type.
