Use Outlook 2007 to hit Outlook Web Access (Exchange Server 2003)
My company provides us with off-site access to our work e-mail (which is Exchange Server 2003 based) via Outlook Web Access at the address https://webmail.company.com (I am using "company" for anonymity). I recently got an iphone and was able to sync it with my work e-mail by just entering in my e-mail address, user name, password and putting "webmail.company.com" as the Exchange Server when asked. That's it! I was immediately synced up with all my e-mail. I then figured, that was so easy, I should be able to setup my Outlook 2007 on my home computer to do the same thing. Well, that hasn't been the case. I have tried to setup an exchange e-mail account in Outlook and used the "Outlook Anywhere" "Connect to Microsoft Exchange Using HTTP" settings. I then enter the webmail.company.com address when it asks for the proxy server. I've tried many combinations of settings and I just can't get it to work!I can't believe that it would be so easy to set this up on an iPhone, but I would have so much difficutly getting Outlook 2007 to do the same. Can anybody help???Thanks!!

Bxitln, That server is running ActiveSync that also runs OWA. That server may not be be setup for RPC over HTTP. I would consult your IT shop to see if they do support Outlook Anywhere/RPC over HTTP.Mark Morowczynski|MCSE 2003:Messaging, Security|MCITP: Enterprise Support|MCTS:Windows Mobile Admin|Security+|http://almostdailytech.com

Besides, it may need certificate, URL and authentication or other RPC over https related information.SoI recommend you to contact Exchange Administrator to get these information.Regards,Xiu
