Urgent copy the mailbox folders structure with its permissions in exchange 2007 sp2
Hi eveyone; I have mailbox with 200 subfolder and each subfolder has special permissions for specific user, Now we want to copy this mailbox structure to another mailbox and we want to keep the original permissions, I tried the export mailbox command, it was good but it didnt copy the permissions to the target mailbox (return the default permissions) so is there any way to copy the mailbox subfolders with its permissions to another mailbox?

According to the Exchange 2007 Move-Mailbox documentation, the source mailbox isn't deleted when you use Move-Mailbox. So, you might try moving the mailbox to a different database, and then try reconnecting the old mailbox to a new user account, which might close all the permissions. A side-effect you won't like would be that it retains all the old data as well as the folders. I don't have the time to personally test that idea, sorry. Other than that, the only other way I can think of is to write a script, but that would be more work than recreating the folders by hand in all likelihood.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."
