Updating existing Exchange 2007 install to SP1
Hi. This does sound like a REALLY stupid question and something I never thought I would have to ask but how do you update an existing exchange 2007 install to SP1? The only SP1 files I can find seem to be a completely fresh install and I cannot find any documentation regarding this anywhere... Is that how it should be? Do I just go through as if I was doing a fresh install? Also I have noticed a couple of threads on there commenting on problems during the update, are there loads of problems? Is it worth updating? Its just I cannot risk any disruption of emails etc... Thanks

Hi, You just run setup from the full exchange2007 SP1 folder - see the release notes: http://download.microsoft.com/download/5/e/6/5e672458-592a-44a2-b489-11cec19d3c82/RelNotes.htm Leif

I haven't seen too many "problems", but there are some tighter rules now, especially regarding domains with out a proper format: http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2814732&SiteID=17
