Updating DAG - Exchange 2010 Help
Hi, I have 2 Exchange Servers 2010 SP1 RU 6 with DAG configured and I want to install Exchange 2010 SP2. How can I proceed in that case: - first I install Exchange 2010 SP2 in the passive server - then, in the active server, move the databases to the passive server and update it? There is 3 databases in the active server. If anyone can help me I appreciate. Regards. Luiz

Hello, If you are using DAG with CAS with gui version to update, you might encounter the error on the Exchange 2010 SP1 CAS servers. Because SP2 introduces a new requirement for CAS servers to have the IIS6 WMI Compatibility role. For mailbox servers that are members of a DAG, The Exchange 2010 includes a script called StartDagServerMaintenance.ps1 that is designed to prepare a DAG server member for maintenance. See the link of StartDagServerMaintenance http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd298065.aspx. Thanks. www.windows8israel.com
