Updated Meeting Request do not appear in originator's Calendar
When a certainemployee(only one as far as I am aware) sends an updated meeting request, the attendees all receive the update, however the originator's Calendar does not always take the update (about 50% update). As I was troubleshooting by sendingan updated meeting request from her calendar, as soon as I accepted the update it moved her updated meeting back to the original time slot; yet it remained updated on my calendar. I only witnessed this once, the other times it simply did not move it from her original time slot on her calendar; and, as stated before, updated on my calendar.Anyone have input or ideas? We have tried calendaring fromOWA with the same results as well as removed cached mode. Thanks in advance.Karl

Issue description: Meeting cant be updated in the organizers Calendar after the organizer Send Update, yet, update takes effect on all other attendants Calendar Check info: 1. Please describe the exchange and outlook version 2. Please apply latest update on outlook 3. Is the problematic meeting a recurring meeting? 4. Is the problematic user a mobile user (ActiveSync)? 5. After reproduce the issue, is there any related event in the application log on the client and exchange server? 6. In order to verify if the issue is isolated to a single user, could you create a new test mailbox, and try to reproduce issue on a new PC? 7. Have you tried to test problematic users issue on a new PC? Set the new mail profile and try to reproduce the issue

1) Exchange 2003 SP2, Outlook 2003 - I have determined this not a Outlook client issue as the same thing occurs when she uses OWA2) N/A see note above3) No, it is not a recurring meeting - while I was testing this, by sending/updating new meeting requests, 1 out of 3 would fail to update on her calendar4) No5) I'll have to check this out 6) We have over a thousand mailboxes and it does not affect anyone else that we know of7) I have not, but will try. I would assume we will get the same results seeing we used OWA and had the same problem.Thank you James.KarlKarl

Well, I found the issue and it has to do with Entourage. If the user has her Mac powered, whichruns Entourage(the Mac email client), then this problem persists. If we shut down the Mac, the problem ceases. What I noticed during testing this, was that the Mac/Entourage receives the message first (whether it is msg, cal, etc). So I'm assuming that the Entourage is getting the update first but then what happens after that is a mystery.Any advice?Karl

Do you mean that issue will disappear if user closes the entourage? Please let me describe the whole issue, ensure theres no misunderstanding: User has outlook 2003 on windows client and entourage (version?) on Mac When both outlook and entourage are opened and set a meeting, the issue will occur in the outlook When both outlook and entourage are opened and set a meeting, and then close the entourage, the issue still occurs If only outlook is opened and set a meeting, the issue wont occur If thats the case, I assume that entourage has changed the copy of meeting in the users mailbox on the exchange server somehow Is there any manager-delegate relationship between the participators in the meeting? Please compare the Time Zone setting among the exchange server, outlook client PC and Mac PC

Apparently we have had this issue in the past with users who haveboth Mac and Windows. The resolution that fixed them in the past, and as far as we can tell fixed this particular persons calendaring problems, was to update the Mac Office 2004 v. 11.0.0 to 11.5.0. Thanks for all your input.Karl
