Update toTechNet core content: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997202.aspx Content to be changed=============================Important: If you are performing this procedure as part of a process to move public folders to an Exchange 2003 server or to remove a public folder database, you must remove public folders by using the Exchange Management Shell. Exchange 2007 servers have a higher precedence over the Exchange 2003 servers. Therefore, when a public folder is moved to an Exchange 2003 public folder database and then removed from the Exchange 2007 server by using the Public Folder Management Console, the Exchange 2007 server will replicate the change to the Exchange 2003 server, even if replication is not enabled on that database. As a result, your public folders will be deleted. However, if you use the Exchange Management Shell, the Exchange 2007 server will not replicate the change to the Exchange 2003 server. Change=============================Remove: -----------However, if you use the Exchange Management Shell, the Exchange 2007 server will not replicate the change to the Exchange 2003 server. IMPACT=============================As a result of above lines many customer have run the exchange management shell command assuming it will not delete anything from exchange 2003 server but after delete, replication deleted the content from exchange 2003 servers completely.Jeff Feng - MSFT
