Update.inf Integrity - I cant Install anything, Please help
Hi all, I recently had a blue screen of death and it seems to have wiped 1 of my hard disks. Fortunately I backed up most of my stuff. But lets not get Psy tracked, that was an earlier problem which may have feeded into this one. I booted up my old hard drive and have had a number of problems. When trying to install anything (e.g. service pack 2, Norton antivirus 360, windows Update)I keep getting the "Update.inf integrity" message. My Cryptographic service is running and I restarted it using the cmd prompt, tryed modifying catroot2 files and tried to install a hotfix formaybe acorrupt Update.inf file (But ARHH I cant actually install the hotfix). Another side issue Ive had is my internet only connects for 10 mins then for some reason the pages dont load (but it still says connected). So I have to annoyingly restart my computer, which makes it hard to find a solution to this problem. Any ideas? as I risk getting infected online without my precious antivirus etc..;-) Thanks Will edit: Should I use Windows Repair? Will this fix some issues? (I have a Windows XP Home (Upgrade) disk)
