Unshare Calendar - Outlook 2003
I have a supervisor that shared her calendar with staff. She now wants to unshare that calendar. We have removed sharing, changed permissions and her staff still can click on her calendar and bring it up. We are using Outlook 2003 with Exchange 5.5. I have looked in AD to see if any permissions were set there and found nothing in her profile. How can we remove permissions that were once granted?

Hi,If you are using Exchange 5.5 you should look in the exchange administrator console.Leif

Verify that permission for calendar forlder is correct by using outlook and right click on the suprevisors calendar folder and select the permission tabperhaps you shared the supervisors entire mailbox, the you must use the Exchange 5.5 admin tool forverify permission.be aware that chaning permission can take a while to propagate out, so it can take if I remember correct up to 2 hours for it to set.lasse at humandata dot se, http://anewmessagehasarrived.blogspot.com

This also happens if outlook in cached mode. I have seen this even in my environment. The best thing would be after verifying the permissions on shared calendar in outlook and in Exchange 5.5 Console remove the outlook from cahed mode and then close it and launch it without cached mode and see if they still access the calendar. and if they cannot then again put it back to cached mode Right Click on that Shared Calendar and click on properties and make sure only Supervisor has permissions. I have looked everywhere suggested with no results. Someone just posted a calendar item on her calendar this morning and she isn't a happy camper. I thought I would try building a new profile for her to see if that works. She is not in Cached mode. There are no differences between her profile under Exchange Administration Console and any other manager without the problem. There are weeks between changes and they are still able to access her calendar. Thanks, Ray.

What other accounts\groups are in the permissions of the calendar? What is the "default" and "anonymous" set to? Are there any other groups that these users may be nested in?James Chong (MVP) MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com

Thanks, James. Right row there are only three entries in her permissions for the calendar. default, anonymous and one of her staff members. All are set to None for everything. Her staff member was added as after trying everything else, I thought that perhaps specifying someone and telling it no that it might stop the share. No luck. They do have a common group, but that group is not listed in any of the permissions.

In the course of playing around with the permissions on her profile, I made it so no one could send her e-mail. We had to reset all her permissions to get it back to the default. Still allows her staff to access her calendar.
