Unique Syncing Problem (Outlook 2010 - GoDaddy IMAP)
I appreciate your help in advance. I have a GoDaddy IMAP account setup in Outlook 2010. It is the only account established. I have 20-25 folders setup. Several months ago I noticed I could not find emails that I know I had moved into a certain folder (this is the only folder affected). It appears that my Outlook now takes days to sync one of my folders. It is heavily used. For example, if I move a message into this folder today, I cannot click on the folder and see the email I just moved for 5-7 days. Then all of a sudden it will appear. I cannot find the email by searching either. If I login directly via GoDaddy's webmail, the message is in the proper folder ASAP. Can someone please tell me what is happening and how to fix it? My coworker just recently had the same exact problem start happening to him, except it was his Sent folder. Thank you.

Hi,

Based on the description, there are some possible causes.

First please run Outlook in safe mode, test if the issue persists:

Press Win + R, type "outlook.exe /safe" in the blank box, press Enter.

If the issue doesn't occur in Outlook Safe Mode, then it may be related to some 3rd-party add-ins, disable the suspicious ones to verify which one caused the issue.

Moreover, we may also run Scanpst.exe to scan and repair the possible errors in the Outlook Data File, since such issue may also occur if the Outlook Data File is corrupted:

Repair Outlook Data Files (.pst and .ost)

I've seen some Outlook performance issues that are caused by the firewall and anti-virus program, disable them temporarily to try again.
