Uninstalling Exchange 2007 - Possible to Change Public Folder DB Associated with OAB?
We are in the process of uninstalling Exchange 2007 from our environment after an upgrade to Exchange 2010. I moved the default Offline Address Book to an Exchange 2010 mailbox server but I noticed that the PublicFolderDatabase listed when running Get-OfflineAddressBook
still points to the Public Folder Database on the 2007 server. Is it possible to change the specified Public Folder Database for the Offline Address Book (as viewable when running 'Get-OfflineAddressBook | fl pub*')? If not, is it something I need
to be concerned with? The public folder db hosted on Exchange 2010 is included in the replica list for the default OAB in ("\NON_IPM_SUBTREE\Offline Address Book\<Default Address Book>").
Thanks.

Hi LB20,
According to your description, it says that you only move your Public Database to Exchange 2010.
After you move the Public Folder Database to another server, you still need move its replica to the new Server.
follow LMurthy's method, you can rebuild the replication on the new server.
If his method doen't work, you can try the solution below which use script to move the replication database.

Thanks for the replies. I had already added my Exchange 2010 server to the replica list for the OAB PF so all I had to do was follow the steps posted by LMurthy. Awesome documentation of the steps. Much appreciated.
