Uninstalling Exchange 2007
I am new to the forum so I am not sure if this has already been addressed or not. I am having trouble uninstalling exchange 2007 that was recovered by using setup.com /m:recoverserver. I want to be able to completely uninstall and reinstall a fresh copy of exchange on the server. Some background, we currently have an active exchange server that we want to migrate to new hardware. In the process of setting up the new hardware, we had some hardware issues after installing exchange on it. We completely reformatted and reinstalled Windows 2003 Standard x64. Installed exchange using the recover prompt. Unfortunately had some issues and would like to do a fresh install again of exchange.Any suggestions would be great. I am new at this (probably the wrong person to be doing this, but with budget cuts I was placed in charge of it). Remove all registry key under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Exchange\v8.0\<ServerRole> registry path but keep only two keys, ConfiguredVersion & UnpackedVersion thentry to install again. Where <ServerRole> is the Exchange roles are installed on your server, you need to do this for all roles.
