Run setup again, specify /domaincontroller:"So I thought ok I will uninstall via cmd line, navigated to the bin folder where setup.com was, used this line (just to test one role)"setup.com /role:clientaccess /mode:uninstall /domaincontroller:<dc fqdn name here>"heres the error I received..."The is a version mismatch between the running application and the installed application"gramatical errors included (not being picky, just pointing it out.)I have searched on this for a while now and have only found dead ends... Please advise.

"So did you get it working? That prereq is supposed to print out a value (namely 'hklm\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchange ADAccess\Instance0' ConfigDCHostName). Is ConfigDCHostName present but blank? If so, you could try deleting ConfigDCHostName. (Note that I haven't actually tried it myself!) -martin "http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2071192&SiteID=17The above should take care of the problem you are having.
