Uninstall of Edge Transport server gives Remote Registry service is not running
The server environment is -Exchange 2007, on a Windows 2008 server, x64 bit. I'm trying to uninstall an Edge Transport Server from my Exchange Organization. I've removed the server from the organization(Organization Configuration - Hub Transport - Edge Subscriptions - right click the server, and choose delete). I've removed the Edge Subscription, by runningRemove-EdgeSubscription -Identity EdgeServerName from a Management Shell on the Edge Transport server. Now when I go toControl Panel - Programs and Features - Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 - Uninstall, I get the error message "There was a problem accessing the registry on this computer. This may happen if the Remote Registry service is not running; it may also indicate a network problem"Help? Thanks,Bill.

Hi Bill, 1. Please ensure the Remote Registry Service has been started on the edge server: 2. Pleases ensure the Client for Microsoft Networks and File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks are enabled on NICs on the edge server. Mike
