Unable to start the Exchange Management Console after Antivurs latest Installation?
Hi, Today I tried to upgrade our Kaspersky Antivirus on our Exchange Server. After installing the latest Antivirus on the sever, I couldn't access EMC. I am getting error like "WinRM cannot process the request". What could be the reason for the problem? we are using Exchange 2010. Regards, Ram.

I've always found WinRM troubleshooting to be quite difficult. There's an article here that mentions that AV software can interfere with it: http://blogs.technet.com/b/jonjor/archive/2009/01/09/winrm-windows-remote-management-troubleshooting.aspx The advice is to '2. Antivirus software can prevent proper WinRM communication. Disable antivirus software and reboot the machine if the Antivirus software is known to scan processes and protocols, or if there is any doubt about the software.' I assume that 'Disable' means 'Temporarily disable'.blog.leederbyshire.com

Hi Lee, Thanks for the reply. I removed the latest antivirus which I installed on our server. The EMC is working fine without any issue. Today we tried to install the kaspersky antivirus with the help of kaspersky tech support guys. They tried to install the latest antivirus on our server. They failed in failed in the process the Transport role shown some error. They are working on the situation. But to our surprise after that attempt, we couldn't receive the mails, but able to send. When track the message flow I came to know that Exchange Transport service is stopped. I tried to start it but again in few seconds it is stopping. How can I solve this issue? What might when wrong with our attempt? Thank you very much for your help. Regards, Ram.

Do Kaspersky make an Exchange-aware version of their Anti-virus? And is that what you are using? Unfortunately, you can't put any old AV solution on an Exchange server.blog.leederbyshire.com

Hello Ram, I marked your post because uninstalling the latest update can be a possible solution for this issue. If you have any good news after working with Kaspersky support, it will be appreciated to share it with us. Thanks,Simon Wu TechNet Community Support
