Unable to see Legacy Mailboxes in Exchange Mgmt Console
I have 2 offices connected via persistent VPN tunnel using ISA 2006. I normally have no problems accessing services between offices using various protocols, with the possible exception of RPC. In one office is Exchange 2007 SP2 with a few different servers dividing up the roles. In the other office is one Exchange 2003 server containing several mailboxes that I would like to migrate to the Exchange 2007 mailbox server, then decommission the Exchange 2003 server. Both 2003 and 2007 are in the same Exchange Organization. The problem is that in the Exchange 2007 Management Console, the mailboxes from the 2003 server don't show up. When I run the Best Practices Analyzer it gives me an error saying that WMI connections cannot be made to the 2003 server. So I would like to know if that would be the likely cause of my problem. I suspect that the problem is with RPC traffic not crossing through the ISA servers but I would like to confirm that WMI would be needed to be able to see the remote mailboxes.I don't seem to have any other communication problems between the 2003 and 2007 servers. For example, no problems with mail delivery or with public folder replication.Thanks.

Hi,Please try to create a new user in exchange management console and refresh to verify if you can find this user in console.Besides, please try to check if you have selected “- View all recipients in forest ” from EMC - Recipient Configuration - Modify Recipient Scope- View all recipients in forest. Thank you. I was in the Mailbox node looking for settings to change the view. As you pointed out, it can be changed in the Recipient Configuration node. Now I can see the legacy mailboxes. Thanks for the help!Cheers.
