Unable to resolve secondary SMTP address to Name exchange 2010

Hi,

I am trying to resolve secondary SMTP address to user's name by performing look-up pressing CTRl+K in OL but it does not resolves to user's name however that is not the case with default replying email SMTP (primary) as primary SMTP resolves to name with no effort . Please suggest ?

Not working indeed. I tried another test in my lab on new user's profile its working by default however i tried testing out registry setting recommended in KB  after making the changes it stops working . There after i manually tried to revert changes but no luck. But one work around i found was deleting user's windows profile it got me back to original state of default behavior but certainly the fix that Microsoft recommended is not working .

Hello

and if disable offline addressbok to download?

exit from outlook and delete oab from user profile

and add registry keys:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Cached Mode]
"DownloadOAB"=dword:00000000
"ANR Include Online GAL"=dword:00000001

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Exchange\Exchange Provider]
"Limit SRS Incremental Download"=dword:00000000
"Limit Manual OAB Download"=dword:00000000
"Limit SRS Full OAB Download"=dword:00000000
"Allow SRS Full OAB Download"=dword:00000000

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\DisabledCmdBarItemsList
  • Add the string value "TCID1"="5658"

Appreciate your help .Deleting OAB works as per the current requirement however registry keys seem not be giving desired result as I am still able to download OAB . But one thing i am curious to know is the fact why don't OAB resolves the proxy addresses (secondary SMTP), even though when we download fresh OAB from server and why is it always required to force look-up online GAL to resolve secondary proxy addresses?
