Unable to remove Mailbox from Exchange 5.5 Global Address list
In my org we have a user who's account was deleted when a Windows NT based Exchange 5.5 box was retired. The problem is this user still appears in the Global Address list and in the Exchange 5.5 Server Admin under Global Address. This account of course no longer has a primary NT account. It also appears in the Exch. 5.5 GAL as "greyed out" and can't be deleted in the normal manner (toolbar delete button). -----Research / Troubleshooting steps done so far------ This person does not have an account in Active Directory. Original issue occured after deleting the account and it kept re-appearing in the GAL. Per Microsoft recommendation an NT Server was rebuilt & put Exchange 5.5 on it and a search for Ghost accounts was done. At this time account seem to go away but came back. Any Help, thanks
