The username iscorrectly mapped when we use the Check Name option while creating a new profile!!

Did you check the event logs on the Exchange server? I had a very similar issue and was getting 'Mapi session exceeded the maximum of 32 objects of type "session"' messages in the event log. Here's the fix:

Did you installed Windows 2003 SP2 on the Exchange server or if it is Windows 2003 SP1, then check if you have installed the hotfix KB912222?
Please try disabling Enable TCPChimney, EnableRSS, & EnableTCPA registry keys
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\TCPIP\Parameters
And then reboot the server? Please let me know if it is not working.
If you don't want to disable manually then install KB948496 hotfix, it will automatically disable Enable TCPChimney, EnableRSS & EnableTCPA registry keys.
