Unable to open the OOF history folder EX2010
Exchange 2010 SP1 + CU1 for SP1. CAS servers routinely log Event ID 1029 from MSExchange Store Driver. The message is: "Unable to open the OOF history folder <email>, OOF history operation skipped." I cannot clear this error or determine what it means. I was hoping the application of SP1 (conducted this week) would resolve but it has not. Anyone seen this before?

Hi, In Exchange 2010, the Mailbox Rules Agent is running under Store Driver on the Hub Transport Server. While the mailbox is in an "Out Of Office" state, the server keeps a OOF history which recipients have been sent an OOF message and not send again until the history list has been cleared. The purpose of the feature is to make sure that an OOF auto-reply goes to each sender only once. The Mailbox Rule Agent is responsible for maintaining the history data. The agent checks whether an OOF message needs to be sent or not. Since the OOF history data is stored in the recipient's mailbox, the Mailbox Rules Agent uses the XSO to retrieve the OOF history. Now please confirm which mailbox of the OOF history folder couldn't be opened. Then use MFCMAPI Edit tool to clear that history and reload it. The OOF history data is tored as PR_OOF_History property on the "Freebusy Data" folder of the recipient's mailbox in Online Mode. Thanks Allen Allen Song
