Unable to open a Shared mailbox Outlook Folder from Outlook 2010 SP1
Server: Exchange 2007 SP3 Client: Outlook 2010 SP1 I have created the shared mailbox and given readers permission to my mailbox. I have added that shared mailbox as an additional mailbox in my outlook. When I try to access that shared mailbox, it says "unable to expand the folders" and I am not able to access the shared mailbox. My outlook is not in cache mode..its' in online mode only. I have downloaded full address book. I have waited for 24 hours..still it haven't. Recreated profile..Rebooted..Nothing happening..! But after 2 or 3 days..I can able to access the shared mailbox and it started working. Question: Why it is taking 2 or 3 days to work? Is that replication issue in server? If so how to check the same? ThanksFunnyghost

Let me clarify it clearly, 1. Through online mode, I can able to access the shared mailbox as additional mailbox in outlook but not in cache mode. 2. I have checked the Get-MailboxPermission, it shows me that, I have the valid permission to that shared mailbox. 3. Please let me know, how to check via OWA...I mean, how to access it as additional mailbox in OWA? ThanksFunnyghost

Shared mailbox name: Shah Test Editors group: sm_ShTes_SE, in this myself and 2 more users are members of this group Read Only access group: "sm_ShTes_SR", in this my coworker and other 2 more users are members of this group. People, who are all having the editors access can able to access the shared mailbox via OWA. Users with Read only permission isn't able to access the shared mailbox via OWA. When I run the mailbox permission in powershell for that shared mailbox, it shows me bunch of lists. In that, I can see editors group name sm_ShTes_SE (I am the member of this group) in Full Access list. But I dont see readers group sm_ShTes_SR. I am wondering, how people with read only permission are accessing the shared mailboxes Any suggestions from your end, highly appreciated. ThanksFunnyghost
