Unable to get POP3 work after Migrating from Exchange 2007

Hello Team,

We did a migration from Exch 2007 to Exch 2013. Migration went smoothly. Old server is demoted and exchange uninstalled. Some how POP3 is not working as expected. Trying to configure in outlook shows :

Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC1A) : 'Your server does not support the connection encryption type you have specified. Try changing the encryption method. Contact your mail server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for additional assistance.' that the server does not accept the encryption method used.

Followed lot of articles, still not getting any FIX. Exchange server is fully patched with Latest CU.

Also getting password prompt regularly.

Suggestion's please!!

Hi

So you have 2 issues here. POP3 and password prompts.

Lets tackle the password prompts first. What authentication to you have setup for your urls? basic, ntml and negotiate?

Is your certificate valid for exchange 2013? on the POP3 properties, what do you have set?

Hi,

Thank you for responding Ed.

Ran

Set-OutlookAnywhere -Identity "servername\RPC (default Web site)" InternalHostName mail.domain.com -InternalClientsRequireSsl $True -IISAuthenticationMethods Basic, Ntlm, Negotiate

Certificate is valid for Exchange 2013. OWA works perfectly fine. Good certificate loaded (Trusted CA)

Assigned to services                         IMAP, POP, IIS, SMTP

Your Name : domainname\test

Logon Info:

That way it worked.
