Unable to deliver message on new email but not on reply
I am using Exchange 2003. I have a parent at the school that wants us to email her at a particular mac.com address. If we reply to that address from an existing email, the email goes through just fine. If we type a new email to that address though I get the following message: Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients. Subject: testing another address Sent: 11/9/2007 11:42 AM The following recipient(s) cannot be reached: ****@tmail.com on 11/9/2007 11:42 AM The e-mail system was unable to deliver the message, but did not report a specific reason. Check the address and try again. If it still fails, contact your system administrator. < mfe2.prod.danger.com #4.0.0> This looks to me that the email we sent to *@mac.com is forwarded to their tmail email address to get to their phone. The user claims that they receive everyone elses emails just fine and that we are the only ones having this issue. They also claim that the tmail account is an old address that they no longer use so they don't know why the mac.com email would forward to it. Anyone have any thoughts? Robert

Sounds like your user is incorrect. I often printscreen the message logs to show the user that our server has delivered the message to the .mac server, and that there is nothing else we can do. The visual often helps them "remember" things about rules and forwarding and such. it could also act as a tool if you were to call their customer support with them(depends on how much you like them). and who knows, maybe when you are looking through the logs you'll find it was your fault after all? You could then resolve whatever the issue is.
