here it is Ed,

The component "Microsoft Exchange Messaging and Collaboration Services" cannot be assigned the action "Remove" because:
- One or more users currently use a mailbox store on this server. These users must be moved to a mailbox store on a different server or be mail disabled before uninstalling this server.
and also SIEXCP02 - Master
The component "Microsoft Exchange Messaging and Collaboration Services" cannot be assigned the action "Remove" because:
- This server is the Routing Master for the Routing Group "Sydney", which contains other servers. You cannot uninstall this server until you either select a new Routing Master for this Routing Group, or remove all other servers from this
Routing Group.

Are you sure it's the system attendant mailbox and not some other
mailbox? Use the ADUC and select "Exchange Recipients" in the
drop-down listbox for "Find". Click on the "Storage" tab and select
"Mailboxes on this server. Then click "Browse" and search for
"SIPEXCP01". Maybe there are mailboxes that were assigned to this
server that were never used. If that's so, you won't see the mailbox
in the "Mailboxes" view of the database.

Is SIEXCP01 still in the routing group? If it is, and you want to
remove SIEXCP02 then make SIEXCP01 the routing group master.

hi Xiu,
yes I have removed the routing group as per the screenshot above in my first post.
I got two Exchange Server 2003 namely SIEXCP01 and 02, I had a search from the Exchange Server 2003 ADUC for Exchange Home mailbox user which has got SIEXCP01 in it but couldn't find one as all of them has been migrated into the new Exchange 2007./* Server Support Specialist */

From Exchange 2007, you could run:
Get-Mailbox -Server SIEXP01
That will show you any users who were mailbox-enabled but perhaps never logged on so a mailbox was never created. You'll have to mail-disable all of them or move them.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

That's what I said, only I said to use ADUC. Six of one, a half-dozen
of the other. ;-)

I do. But I figured he'd be more familiar with ADUC since he mentioned
Exchange 2003.
