While adding as Delegate Please make sure you are selecting the Proper "user Mailbox" and not the "Mail Contact" Vinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|

HI, Amit and vinod are right. This incident may be happen sometime after migrate mailboxes from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007.So please check your mailbox type and make sure it is User mailbox. Please run below cmdlet in EMS to verify that. Get-Mailbox "Username"| Fl RecipientType If you see other user type except UserMailbox, then run below command in EMS. Set-Mailbox "Username" -Type regular -Verbose Then reproduce the issues have mentioned below some links for your reference. Oops, my bad got confused while writing last reply... It should be mail-enabled universal security group, not distribution. All permission related things require mail-enableduniversal security group to assign the rights... Convert distribution group to security and try to give delegates... You may receive an error message in Outlook 2007 when you try to set permissions for a distribution group on a mailbox folder in Exchange Server 2007 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941318 Amit Tank | MVP Exchange Server | MCITP: EMA | MCSA: M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com

Wait for sometime it would be cached as distribution group. Also, you can configure outlook in online mode (non-cache mode) and try, because OAB wouldn't have updated the group type immediately...Amit Tank | MVP Exchange Server | MCITP: EMA | MCSA: M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com

Hello Shameera and Tank"Did u check user's type ?"It's not user. It's group."Wait for sometime it would be cached as distribution group. "I have waited 4 or 5 hours"Also, you can configure outlook in online mode (non-cache mode) and try"Sorry. I'm newbie. How? What you mean?GreetingsJani

Ok, create a new outlook profile for the user and while giving server name, below server name don't select (or untick) "Cache Mode" option. Open outlook with newly created profile and configure delegates...http://support.microsoft.com/kb/829918Amit Tank | MVP Exchange Server | MCITP: EMA | MCSA: M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com
