Unable to activate Outlook ACCOLK add-in

I need this add-in to use MS Access Data Collection tools but I can't get it to work.

Using Outlook 2010 and Access 2010.

Office Repair did not work. Niether did some lengthy troubleshooting by corporate IT.

The Add-in does not appear in the ADD-IN manager for Outlook. It does not appear in the list of disabled items in the ADD-IN Manager.

If I click ADD in the add-in manager I can find the ACCOLK.DLL file in the office14 folders and select it. I receive no error message

Hi,

Based on my research, All Outlook addins must be registered as addins in either HKLM (admin installation) or HKCU (per user installation) at:

 \Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins

Under those keys are the addins.

Each addin must have at least 2 values, usually 4:

  • FriendlyName   REG_SZ            friendly name of the add-in
  • Description       REG_SZ                         description of the add-in
  • LoadBehavior   DWORD          3 to load on startup, 2 to load on demand (from the
COM addins dialog), 0 to not show up at all.
  • CommandLineSafe       DWORD          0 (optional)

When an add-in is disabled by Outlook LoadBehavior is set to 2 and a hash and key for that add-in is added at:

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Resiliency
If the add-in is not registered then it would never appear in the COM add-ins dialog.

This has not resolved my issue.

I have 8 add-ins loaded in Outlook.

When i look at the paths you mention only 2 of them have entries in those foldes and they only have 1 or 2 values set. Nothing for the other add-ins and nothing for the ACCOLK

Hi,

As for my understanding, once an add-in is installed, then it will show in the \Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins

So try to re-install the ACCOLK add-in to check the issue.

Hi,

Just uninstall and install it. We uninstall in the Control Panel->Uninstall Programs.

After uninstall it, just re-install as what you installed this add-in.

Try this and to check whether it is helpful.
