Unable to Solve Event ID 12014
Hi , i am using exchange server 2007 in SBS 2008.I am noticing an event error with ID 12014 in my event viewer.I did some google and what i found was this error is the result of exchange certificate problem.SO i used the article from this microsoft link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555855. what i found was i have 5 exchange certificates in exchange management shell. But surprisingly none of them was related to the FQDN name listed in the event viewer.SO now i am confused because i am unable to find the existing exchange certificate which is related to this FQDN in the event viewer.First of all i wann make sure that if there is no existing exchange certificate for this FQDN in the evnt viewer, is there any other way .. i went down to https://FQDN but no use because i am unable to see the details because of forbidden errors such as 404.3 etc. Can anyone help me out from this situation.I am thinking that creating a new exchange certificate would solve the problem but unfortunately i dont know how to do dat because i am a new guy into this networking field.i used another article from microsoft how to create a new certificate, its asking so many details in the syntax which confused me. Is there a way to use the existing exchange certificates and attach this FQDN to them,if so please let me know. Thanks, TRI

What kind of certificate are you using - self-signed? Or if not, what kind did you buy, and how did you install it? SBS does things its own way. You don't actually need a UCC/SAN cert for autodiscover, etc - you have only the one box. And you will really need to use the SBS wizards to do all this stuff if you want it to work rigiht. Check out http://sbs.seandaniel.com/2009/02/installing-godaddy-standard-ssl.html and post your SBS2008 questions in the SBS groups to get the most expert help. You can find them if you go to www.sbs2008.com.Lanwench [MVP - Exchange] ** Do not fold, spindle or mutilate. Fill in the box completely and erase any stray marks. Use only a #2 pencil.
