Unable to Delete Profile from outlook 2013-How is this done?

Ok, I put in the wrong information and would like to delete that profile and start over (seeing that editing it did not work)

control -> mail -> choose profile -> remove  You cannot delete this outlook profile, configuration information in the file is being copied to you new default file. you can delete the file after this information is copied.

One there is no new data file just the default when I try to remove that one "the default data file cannot be removed, because it is your default delivery location. After you have selected a different default delivery location you current file can be remove.

Changed the location same erro

created another data file same error.  I am trying to find a way to do this without uninstalling outlook and reinstalling

OS windows 8 64 Office pro 64

It was suggested I post in this forum.

Based on this situaiton, please go to Control Panel -> mail -> Show Profiles > Add.. a new profile to re-setup your account as you like. Then set it as "Always use this profile". Once we have another profile exist in the box, we can delete the default one (named Outlook) at any time.

I have this same issue.  I have a new profile in Outlook 2013, and it is working properly.  I just can't delete the older one, as it says configuration information is being copied to my new default data file.  This never completes.

Tony,

I have a similar problem, needing to remove the profile and data file to re-install them.  When attempting to remove the profile was prompted to add a new profile first. When attempting to add a new profile (the same as I already have since I have no other profile to create) it was rejected because it already exists.  I cannot remove the profile because I don't have a second profile to be my default.  I cannot create a second profile because I already have a profile that uses that information.  Now what?

Environment: Win 8.1 64 Enterprise, Office (Outlook) 32 bit 2013
