URGENT: Sudden error: You do not have permission to send this message...
As of this morning all of our users started getting the error message: You do not have permission to send the msesage on behalf of the specified user. This happens when user tries to send a new email or replay to an email in an Exchange account other than the primary account in Oultook 2010. We have multiple accounts setup in outlook; some our Exchange and some IMAP. IMAP accounts work fine; however Exchange accounts suddenly started giving this error message. I made some changes in Termanal Server printing and such but nothing related to Exchange. I've checked all permissions and everthing is correct and the same as before. Tried restarting Exchange IS and the entire server and still the same. Any ideas? this is very urgent as we are unable to send new or reply to any email at this point through the Exchange accounts. The only way I can get it to work is to check the option in Outlook Account Settings to Always prompt for logon credentials. Then use the actual Exchange mailbox's login and it will work but we can't possibly do this everytime.

Hi, Please Open EMC->Recipient Configuration->Mailbox, right click the user that you want to send the message on behalf of, and click "Manage Send as Permission". Make sure that the primary account is under the Allow Send as Permission list. If it already in the list, please remove the it and click "Manage" button. Then add the user back. After that, please open outlook and test to see if the issue persists. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Thanks for the tips but I tried these and still no go. In console I removed myuser and added myuser again. Then in shell I entered the command and it says the entry is already present. The users had and have full access permissions to the mailbox; so would they still need to have Send As permission as well? But in any case I gave my user Send As permission and still the same problem. I can't send new msg or reply to a received email through my Outlook with the account setup as Exchange. However it will save a draft and I can log into the OWA and send it. Any other ideas?

Ok problem solved, I did as you suggested for all mailboxes and restarted IS which did the trick. But still my question is shouldn't Full Access include Send As?

Hi, But still my question is shouldn't Full Access include Send As? Yes, full access permission does not include Send As. They are totally difference permissions.
